Accidental Epiphanies

Others indulge in unwavering poetic symphonies, I get accidentally epiphanic.

  • Human vs Subhuman

    You will be crushed,

    You will be tethered,

    You will be battered,

    leaving you shattered…

    You will be ridiculed,

    You will be fooled,

    You will be bruised,

    You will be scarred.

    The incessant strikes and blows

    will bequeath you ajar…

    Yet, you will choose to stay strong;

    Stand tall,

and learn from your each fall,

    Once you were vulnerable;

    Now the Great China Wall.

    Condescended, accused, and marred

    by the fellow unscrupulous subhumans,

    Being anti-belligerent and magnanimous

is what will let you still stay human.

  • Her Spell!

    It is almost three days,

    I haven’t seen her face,

Thoughts running through my mind, in case,

    She has left this place.

I never had the guts to speak,

Looking at her, my knees went weak,

Her body so slender and sleek,

I wished that I could stare at her for weeks.

Should have told her at least once,

Think, I have missed my chance,

    Just her one meteoric glance,

And I am in a trance.

I wondered did she ever knew,

That she made my mind blew,

Should have made attempts a few,

At least, should have said adieu.

    It’s the fourth day today,

    Dejected, I plodded away,

Suddenly on the other side of the way,

A familiar face I see and stay.

God! Is she aware, past three days I have gone through hell,

One sight of her and I almost fell…

The blowing wind brought to me her pleasant smell,

And yes, again, I am under her spell.

  • Being the first girl…

Miss all the sweet memories of childhood,

being the first girl in your life, before all the recent ladies stood…

When studying, playing, teasing was done together,

with inordinate ingenuousness and great vigour…

When we both were enough for each other,

and required no one else to come and bother…

When we enjoyed laughing on absurd jokes and abruptly getting into a squabble,

irritatingly passing comments, fret, and babble…

When meaningless fights and arguments later bugged,

which would end with laughs, kisses, and hugs…

When from pencils, pens, clothes, beds, toys to secrets were shared,

Nothing required camouflage, everything was transparent and bare…

When adulation and sweet talk meant completing books and homework,

having each other’s back if anything went berserk…

When life was naive, ruled by charm and innocence,

makes me nostalgic; the phase was transience…

Ahhh…Miss all the sweet memories of childhood,

being the first girl in your life before all the recent ladies stood…

  • Mental Mort

    She was amazingly alive before,

Until she landed at this deplore,

Only to accord her with misery galore…

Surrounded by species that only just feign,

A place that does nothing but freezes your brain,

Sucks your creativity and drives you insane…

Machiavellian zombies and resembling a morgue,

A sad state of affairs that would only swing like a torque,

A site that is a constant cause of one’s mental mort…
