Accidental Epiphanies

Others indulge in unwavering poetic symphonies, I get accidentally epiphanic.

  • Mirth and Mourn

“Life loves the liver of it.” – Maya Angelou

    A puzzle unfathomable;
    A quest sans forewarn.
    What’s life?
But an episodic train of mirth and mourn!

  • Eternal Damnation

“Lies require commitment.” – Veronica Roth

Beautifully woven was the web of lies,
Powerful, enchanting – an artless guise.
    If the universe conspires to reward one gambit;
    This right here deserves –
a true-blue approbation and eulogized highs.
A case of rare exception or you, a creature of habit?
What’s to say to make an educated guess?
Albeit an irony moored to the idiom –
I guess, I’d be known, informed and educated,
    Wouldn’t’ve maundered and easily baited.
Now that I'm at the end of my rope,
What does it mean for your future scopes?
Whereas this is for me –
a final headway from the convolution,
    Oh, ye fibster!
Can dance in thy own sweet eternal damnation.

  • Perspective

Not all those who wander are lost and not all those who linger are on the mark!

Let me look at life through someone else’s lens,
    Forasmuch as…
Life right now doesn’t make any narrative sense!

  • Lie

“Deceiving others. That is what the world calls a romance.” – Oscar Wilde

    Tell me –
How does it feel when you lie?
I for one would want to know – WHY…?
Does a part of your soul ever lament, sob, and deny?
Or does the charades just come to you?
In an unabashed, brazen blink of an eye?

  • The Untold Tales

    Those camouflaged scars underneath her
smile narrated manifold stories that only
    his lovestruck eyes could read.

    - Neha Sharma
  • Blue

    And there! All at once,
    Blue became...
    My favourite hue.
For during the times when I felt blue,
    It gave me light,
    It gave me you!

    - Neha Sharma
  • Pipe Dream

The world never ceases to disappoint her,
The inevitable hurt, carefully cloaked in the radiant fiction.
    Being a constant spiral recur...
Striking her hopeful heart with a cyclic affliction.
As deceiving as humanity's grand scheme can be!
She masks with laughter like a feigned advertising campaign.
Knowing that elation is just a pipe dream,
    Yet there she is, ready...
    Ready to be fooled again!

    - Neha Sharma
  • Blissful Polarity

You are my only bliss in the face of pathos,
My only clarity in this white noise,
And my only calm in this chaos!

    - Neha Sharma

  • Predestination

    Falling in love wasn't pre-decided,
But sure, for us it was predestined.
    It wasn't scrupulously planned,
    Yet love nuzzled us unplanned!

    - Neha Sharma

  • Light and Dust

Oh, I wish you knew what you are!
The one true north in the cluster of stars.
Like the clear, luminous moon that stands alone,
Holding darkness within, still illumined for the world.
The countless stars can never emulate their unparalleled allure,
Shining on their own, yet composed of dust at the core.
