Accidental Epiphanies

Others indulge in unwavering poetic symphonies, I get accidentally epiphanic.

An Enchanting Enigma

Some mysteries are better left unsolved.

Like a sun-kissed autumn breeze
swirls on a cold winter’s night,
You came, you bewitched, you conquered;
A heart once lonely and wandered…
Creating the Big Bang of a poetic universe.
An explosion of emotions –
Inflated. Unfurled. Intensified.
The erstwhile dust settled over the ribs,
Clustered, forming a beautiful mess –
of tiny luminous sparks as stars.
Diffusing a pomp of refreshing hues,
from morn till dark,
erasing every trace of the blues.
But such is an epic tale of twisted fate,
This conquered lost soul was soon –
Abandoned and betrayed
Striking like a giant meteorite
Carving an everlasting hole – empty and damaged
Nonetheless, you were an enigma so radiantly pure,
Giving my heart, but a temporary cure!
